Executive Director

Responsibilities:

The Statesville Convention and Visitors Bureau is seeking a creative and motivated individual with an outside sales background to serve as Executive Director. The position includes working with product development, strategic planning, leadership, sales & marketing, financial planning, consensus-building in a variety of settings, communication and organizational management.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a four-year college degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, Marketing, Business, Communication, or some related field. A minimum of two year experience working in a management position with budgeting responsibilities at a Convention and Visitor Bureau or other hospitality-related organization is greatly preferred. Position will be for the next 12 month: 60% sales oriented (outside Statesville and North Carolina) and 40% management of CVB and will be modified as market warrants.

Compensation:

$40,000 to $48,000 and a benefits package (including relocation).
