Statesville Dog Park

625 E. Broad Street (next to Caldwell Park).  704-878-3429. Dog Park permits are required and may be purchased at the Statesville Recreation and Parks Department Administrative Offices of the Statesville Fitness and Activity Center at 1875 Simonton Rd. The permit fee is $20 for city residents and $40 for others. You will receive a key fob to use for park entry. Proof of up-to-date vaccinations are required to obtain a permit.

341 Twin Oaks Rd, 704-878-3103. Bigleaf Slopes Park is a Mountain Bike and Multi-use Trail Park owned by Iredell County.

Vance House Museum

501 W. Sharpe Street. Open Second Sundays from April 10-December 11, 2 to 5 pm. Call: 704-880-3067 for more information. One of the oldest structures in Statesville, the Zebulon Vance House served as headquarters for Governor Zebulon Vance during his exile from the state capitol during the last months of the Civil War.
