Tour Planner Information Convention & Visitor Bureau Services The Statesville Convention and Visitors Bureau (SCVB) wants to do everything possible to make your job easier. We are available Monday through Friday to offer assistance in planning your visit to the heartland and foothills of North Carolina. The following are some of the services we will be happy to provide for you free of charge.

Local Contact Assistance At your request, the SCVB will be more than happy to assist you in finding the perfect hotel, restaurant, step-on guide, or attraction for your visit by asking our suppliers to furnish you with specific information on pricing that will meet the needs of your clients. Familiarization Tours & Site Inspections The SCVB works with area hotels, restaurants, and attractions to plan and host familiarization tours of Statesville and surrounding areas. Staff members are available here at the SCVB to provide a personalized site inspection at your convenience. Team in Training- Info Meeting
August 02, 2010
Join us at an information meeting to be held August 2nd beginning at 6:30 pm at the Fleet Fee Sports, 1776 North Center Street, to learn more about the Team In Training program. We train beginners to seasoned athletes to complete a marathon, half marathon, triathlon, century ride, or hike. We provide coaching, training schedules, and 1-2 weekly team trainings. We also cover all expenses including flight (if applicable), hotel, race entry, two dinners, race singlet, and much more. In return, you raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We are gearing up for our winter season, which will begin mid-August. We will be training for the Kiawah Island Marathon & Half (Dec 11th) and the Walt Disney World Marathon & Half Marathon (Jan 8-9). On August 3, 2010 at the Statesville Civic Center, All New Horizons will be hosting a Book Signing Exhibition. This event will be held concurrent with Statesville’s National Night Out. Several local authors will sign books. Free reception
10th Annual Statesville Criterium Bike Race

Tenth annual event! Professional and amateur cyclists compete in one of the most thrilling, spectator-friendly racing events in the cycling sport through the streets of Downtown Statesville. Races start at 6:15 pm and get faster (and more competitive!) as the sun goes down. The featured Pro Race starts at 8:45 pm. D'Laney's Sports Bar & Grill will sponsor this year's Trike Races.
